The Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding with Aqaba International Laboratories – Bin Hayyan, affiliated to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging expertise and capabilities in the technical and laboratory fields, in a way that contributes to developing capabilities and raising the level of professionalism on both sides.
The memorandum was signed on behalf of the Jordanian Armed Forces by the Inspector General of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abdul Basit Al-Shara, while on behalf of the Aqaba International Laboratories, the Commissioner for Environment and Public Safety Affairs, Dr. Nidal Al-Ouran.
The MoU comes within the framework of the keenness of the two sides to develop cooperation and joint work frameworks, and to benefit from the available expertise and capabilities, especially in the fields of scientific research and conducting studies of common interest, in addition to exchanging technical visits to learn about the expertise, technical capabilities and approved examination methods, in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards.
The MoU also includes the implementation of specialized training programs and workshops, and the exchange of participation in related events and courses, in a way that enhances the transfer of knowledge and the exchange of experiences, and contributes to the development of technical and laboratory skills and capabilities of cadres on both sides.
The signing of the MoU reflects the approach of the Jordanian Armed Forces in enhancing cooperation and coordination with various governmental and private institutions and entities, and consolidating the principle of partnership and integration of efforts, in a way that supports joint institutional work, unifies expertise and capabilities, and contributes to upgrading technical and laboratory capabilities and serving national goals.
