Preliminary data from the Central Bank indicates a 24.9% increase in tourism revenue during July 2026, reaching $926.2 million. Meanwhile, the decline over the first seven months of the current year was limited to 0.2%, with total tourism revenue amounting to $4.418 billion.
The figures showed a drop in tourism revenue during the first seven months of 2026 from expatriate Jordanians by 8.9%, U.S. nationals by 20.6%, European nationalities by 24.7%, and other nationalities by 39.7%.
In contrast, tourism revenue generated from Arab visitors grew by 12.8%, and from Asian nationalities by 3.9%.
Regarding outbound tourism expenditure by Jordanians and residents, preliminary data showed a 0.3% increase during July, reaching $248.1 million.
Over the first seven months of 2026, tourism expenditure decreased by 7.5%, totaling $1.154 billion.
