Six teams from around the world converged in Taipei on December 10, 2025, for the global finals of the “Go Healthy with Taiwan” Call for Proposals, culminating in the selection of three winning innovations poised to shape the future of global health. The competition—one of Taiwan’s flagship international innovation initiatives—attracted 638 proposals from 55 countries, underscoring Taiwan’s rising prominence as a hub for health technology and cross-border collaboration.

The top honors were awarded to teams from the United States, Ukraine, and Switzerland, whose proposals introduced cutting-edge solutions in smart healthcare, cycling innovation, and integrated sports technology. Each winning team received an “Infinite Taiwan”–themed trophy and USD 30,000 in prize funding.

Susan Chi Chuan Hu, Deputy Director General of the Taiwan International Trade Administration (TITA), announced the three winning teams and presented the awards. She emphasized that TITA will continue working hand in hand with global partners to advance human health and well-being.

At the awards ceremony, Susan Chi-Chuan Hu, Deputy Director General of the International Trade Administration (MOEA), emphasized the campaign’s global significance. She remarked, “Go Healthy with Taiwan is not only a call for proposals; it is a global journey that connects creativity and drives the health industry forward. Taiwan’s industrial strengths continue to attract worldwide participation, bringing us closer to the shared vision of building a healthier future together.” Hu reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering innovation, strengthening resilience and sustainability in the health sector, and creating an environment that supports global partnerships.

Teams from the United States, Ukraine, and Switzerland were selected as the winners of the “Go Healthy with Taiwan” Global Proposal Campaign.

The six finalist proposals addressed a wide range of pressing global challenges—from maternal health and sports technology to sustainable medical systems.

The winning proposals were recognized for their creativity, scalability, and cross-sector integration—key qualities that align with Taiwan’s long-term strategy to strengthen its position in the global health ecosystem.

Joe Chou, Executive VP of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), noted that this year’s submissions spanned five continents, representing a 60% increase from last year, demonstrating effective industry alignment.

Joe Chou, Executive Vice President of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), praised the international competitiveness demonstrated by all finalists. He affirmed that Taiwan will continue serving as a global connector—linking innovators, industries, and markets to accelerate the worldwide adoption of Taiwan’s health technologies.

Robert Wu, Chairman of the Taiwan Bicycle Association, speaking on behalf of the judging panel, expressed appreciation for the six shortlisted teams.

This year’s finals, themed “Outstanding Proposals! Racing Toward the Finish Line!”, brought together leaders from government, industry, and academia. Representatives from major associations—including Robert Wu, Chairman of the Taiwan Bicycle Association, and Yung-Chuan Li, Chairman of the Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association—joined ambassadors and foreign dignitaries in Taiwan to celebrate the achievements.

TITA and TAITRA welcomed distinguished guests from the health industry, diplomatic representatives from ten countries, and the six finalist teams from Indonesia, Mexico, the United States, Ukraine, Switzerland, and New Zealand, joining together in support of a healthier Taiwan.

The International Trade Administration expressed hope that the finalists will deepen partnerships with Taiwanese companies and bring their solutions to market through international collaboration. As a long-term initiative, “Go Healthy with Taiwan” aims to build a global innovation platform, strengthen commercial opportunities, and inspire new models for collaborative health development worldwide.
