Jordan Ahli Bank, in partnership with Tawqi3i, has
launched a certified remote digital signature service for its customers,
becoming the first bank in Jordan to offer
this service. It is powered by the first remote signing engine deployed
and operated in the local banking sector, delivered through an e-signature
system integrated with the Central Bank of Jordan’s Public Key Infrastructure
(CBJ PKI).
Customers
can access the service through the bank’s ahli
Mobile app, via its
electronic ‘Know Your Customer’ (eKYC) service and the ‘Rent Now, Pay Later’
product. This permits them to sign their loan agreement electronically and
complete related procedures entirely through digital channels, without needing
to visit a branch.
The
introduction of this service marks a further step in the bank’s strategy to
advance its digital transformation and elevate customer experience, simplifying
banking procedures and enabling customers to complete their transactions with
greater flexibility and ease online, while maintaining high levels of security
and reliability.
Commenting
on the launch, Ahmad Abu Eideh, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Ahli Bank,
said, “At Jordan Ahli Bank, we continue to develop our services in line
with the rapid transformations in the banking sector and the evolving needs of
our customers. Adopting the certified digital signature comes as an extension
of that direction.
We look forward to widening the use of this technology
across more of our products and services, strengthening the integration of our
digital ecosystem and supporting our drive to create advanced banking solutions
for the future.”
For
his part, Eng. Sami Rasekh, CEO of Tawqi3i, stated, “This launch marks the
culmination of Tawqi3i’s efforts to establish and develop the Jordanian banking
sector’s first operational trusted remote digital signing engine, integrated
with the Central Bank of Jordan’s Public Key Infrastructure.
We are proud that,
through our partnership with Jordan
Ahli Bank, this
vision has evolved into an integrated banking service that enables customers to
complete their transactions online with the highest levels of security and
reliability, while laying the groundwork for a new era of digital banking in
Jordan.”
