Updated:

The Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia (Rosaviatsiya) announced on Friday the implementation of temporary restrictions on air traffic at Sochi International Airport and several other airports located in the southwestern region of the country, as part of precautionary measures aimed at ensuring air navigation and flight safety.

In a press statement, the agency said the restrictions apply to both takeoff and landing operations at the designated airports, confirming that normal flight operations will resume as soon as the reasons necessitating the restrictions clear up, without providing further details.
