All Jordan Youth Commission (AJYC) in Mafraq hosted an awareness session as part of the national economic awareness and education program, “Your Financial Compass” (Bousalatuk Al-Malia). The initiative is implemented by Al-Dustour Center for Economic Studies, supported by CFI Jordan, and partnered with national media outlets. This event marks the program’s third stop across the Kingdom’s governorates, following previous sessions in Ajloun and Salt.

Held at the AJYC headquarters with the participation of youth, women, and local community representatives, the meeting featured discussions on key financial and economic topics. These included money management, financial planning, understanding markets, investment fundamentals, and risk awareness, enabling participants to ask questions and enhance their knowledge to make informed financial decisions.

Awni Al-Dawood, Head of Al-Dustour Center for Economic Studies and Executive Director of the program, stated that touring the Kingdom’s governorates aims to expand financial literacy and foster direct dialogue with local communities regarding daily economic matters, with a special focus on youth and women.

Al-Dawood added that interactive sessions help simplify economic and investment concepts into practical tools, empowering individuals to manage their finances, understand available options, and make more conscious decisions.

For his part, economic expert Faiq Hijazin described the initiative as a national effort that promotes sound financial concepts and enhances investment culture. He emphasized that financial literacy helps individuals comprehend economic developments, assess opportunities and risks, and make sound choices.

During the session, Hijazin covered financial market instruments, investment fundamentals, and risk management principles, highlighting the role of specialized awareness initiatives in delivering practical economic knowledge to various segments of society.

Meanwhile, Islam Al-Hawamdeh, AJYC Coordinator in Mafraq, welcomed the program, noting that its objectives align with the commission’s mission to empower youth, expand their economic awareness, and enhance their active participation in society.

“Your Financial Compass” will continue its interactive sessions across various governorates supported by CFI Jordan and featuring elite economic experts to ensure financial knowledge reaches diverse community groups.
