The Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC) achieved positive financial and operational results during the first half of 2026, with total guarantees issued reaching JOD 300 million, up from JOD 204 million during the same period in 2025. The results reflect sustained business growth and reinforce the company’s role in supporting the national economy and facilitating credit access for businesses.
Adel Al-Sharkas, Chairman of the Board, emphasized that these achievements demonstrate the success of JLGC’s strategy in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups, as well as enhancing the competitiveness of Jordanian exports in alignment with the Kingdom’s Economic Modernization Vision.
Al-Sharkas noted that total corporate revenue rose to JOD 34.2 million, compared to JOD 25.2 million recorded during the first half of 2025.
He added that during the first six months of the year, JLGC launched the “Guarantee for Employment” program—funded by the Federal Republic of Germany through the German Development Bank (KfW)—alongside the “Green Financing Guarantee” program, as part of efforts to expand service coverage, encourage sustainable finance, and drive job creation.
JLGC Director General Adnan Naji detailed that the corporation guaranteed 843 loans totaling JOD 149 million, including JOD 9 million allocated to 103 start-ups. Additionally, 214 micro-enterprises benefited from the micro-project guarantee scheme, receiving JOD 2 million in total funding through the end of last June.
Regarding export and domestic sales credit guarantees, JLGC provided coverage for roughly 2,560 export shipments and local sales valued at JOD 151 million. The beneficiary base expanded to 131 active insurance policies covering commercial operations across 42 countries worldwide.
The corporation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing guarantee programs and broadening partnerships with financial institutions and development agencies to improve credit access across economic sectors, stimulate investment, foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and solidify its status as a key partner in Jordan’s sustainable economic development.
