375 UAE High School Students Join Canadian University Dubai’s Future Makers Summer Camp to Explore the Careers of Tomorrow

Updated:

Canadian University Dubai (CUD) successfully concluded its Future Makers Summer Camp 2026, welcoming 375 high school students from across the UAE for three immersive days of experiential learning designed to inspire the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, designers, creators, and future leaders.

Hosted at CUD’s City Walk campus, the Future Makers Summer Camp offered participants the opportunity to experience university life while exploring future-focused disciplines through interactive workshops, collaborative challenges, and hands-on learning led by the University’s academic experts.

Throughout the three-day program, students engaged with emerging fields spanning engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, business, entrepreneurship, architecture, interior design, psychology, sustainability, public health, communication and media, and the creative industries. Every activity was carefully designed to cultivate creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving while providing meaningful insight into future academic and career pathways.

Reflecting on the success of this year’s programme, Ahmed El Mahdy, Student Recruitment Manager at Canadian University Dubai, said:

“Choosing a university is one of the most important decisions a student will make. The Future Makers Summer Camp was designed to give students an authentic experience of university life while helping them explore the opportunities that lie ahead. We were incredibly proud to see how receptive, curious, and engaged our campers were throughout the programme. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to embrace every experience made this year’s camp truly memorable.”

The program was further enriched by the participation of distinguished industry leaders who shared real-world perspectives on entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup development. Featured speakers included Ceaser Medel and Corey Lanzing, entrepreneurs, venture builders, and strategic partners of the CUD Incubator, who inspired participants through sessions on entrepreneurship, innovation, and building successful ventures. Students also engaged with Marcin Lapa, an international startup mentor and business strategist, who shared practical insights into transforming ideas into scalable businesses and navigating the entrepreneurial journey.

Commenting on the importance of exposing young people to entrepreneurship, Ceaser Medel, entrepreneur, venture builder, and strategic partner of the CUD Incubator, said:

“One of the most rewarding aspects of the Future Makers Summer Camp was seeing how naturally students embraced innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. Their curiosity, willingness to ask questions, and enthusiasm for solving real-world challenges demonstrated the tremendous potential of the next generation. Experiences like these encourage young people to think beyond traditional career paths and recognise that they can become innovators, founders, and changemakers.”

The success of the initiative was made possible through the dedication of Canadian University Dubai’s Recruitment Team, faculty members, student ambassadors, professional staff, and industry partners, whose collective efforts created an inspiring and memorable experience for every participant.

As Dubai’s #1 Ranked University in the QS World University Rankings 2027 for the sixth consecutive year, CUD remains committed to empowering future generations through experiential learning, meaningful industry collaboration, and a future-focused education that prepares graduates to thrive in an increasingly dynamic global economy.
