Commercial exports from Zarqa, including re-exports, reached approximately JD 43.84 million in August this year, up from JD 39.5 million in the same month last year, according to Zarqa Chamber of Commerce President Hussein Shreim.
Shreim said the exports totaled JD 43,841,392, based on statistics from certificates of origin issued by the Zarqa Chamber of Commerce and its office in the Zarqa Free Zone.
A total of 360 certificates of origin were issued during August.
Vehicles and their spare parts accounted for the largest share of Zarqa’s commercial exports during the month, alongside construction materials and sanitary ware, medicines and related supplies, food products, clothing and jewelry, electrical and electronic appliances, and household and office furniture and stationery.
Commercial exports from Zarqa totaled JD 39.5 million in August last year.
