Russia: Grain Exports Rise to 54 Million Tons

Updated:

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture announced an increase in total grain exports for the new agricultural season to approximately 54 million tons, up from an earlier forecast of 45 million tons. The ministry noted that milling wheat accounted for more than 47 million tons, driven by sustained global demand for Russian grain.

In a statement on Monday, the ministry stated that it aims to increase its future food exports to around 60 million tons annually. This effort is intended to strengthen its presence in global markets and support the stability of food supplies to importing nations, particularly in the Middle East.
