This ensures they keep pace with the latest international standards and best professional practices, contributing to enhanced institutional performance and elevating the quality of tax administration.

This statement was made during his sponsorship and attendance of a specialized workshop organized by the Income and Sales Tax Department in cooperation with the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants (JACPA), titled “International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 18): Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements – New Amendments and Requirements.”

Approximately 250 executive directors, audit department heads, and auditors from the department participated in the workshop, which is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the readiness of its personnel to keep pace with professional and accounting developments.

The workshop was presented by accounting expert Hatem Kawasmi, a member of JACPA, in the presence of the association’s president, Hossam Rahhal, and vice president, Ali Samara. Kawasmi reviewed the key amendments introduced by IFRS 18, their implications on the presentation of financial statements and related disclosures, and their impact on improving the quality of financial reporting, highlighting the practical aspects of the standard and its implementation mechanisms in accordance with international best practices.
