Thirty-six Jordanian companies specializing in food industries will begin participating Sunday in the Saudi Food Expo and the Saudi Industrial Expo 2026, which are being held concurrently in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
According to the Jordan Exporters Association, which is organizing the Jordanian pavilion, the participating companies represent a range of sectors, including oriental sweets, chocolate, bakery products, dairy, grains, mills, starches, nuts, roasted products and soft drinks. Other participants specialize in food ingredients and raw materials, packaging, machinery and industrial equipment.
According to a statement issued by the association on Saturday, the two exhibitions bring together 1,000 exhibitors from 95 countries, alongside Jordan and 14 other Arab countries. The events feature around 100,000 food products and attract 25,000 food-sector professionals, providing an integrated platform connecting food production, processing, supply, trade and demand.
President of the Jordan Exporters Association Ahmad Al-Khudari said the Saudi market is one of the most important strategic markets for Jordanian exports, benefiting from strong economic ties between the two countries, geographic proximity and growing integration between the Jordanian and Saudi private sectors.
He said the organization of Jordan’s participation for the third consecutive year reflects the association’s continued efforts to support exporters and promote national products in priority markets. Saudi Arabia, he added, is not only a major consumer market but also an important gateway to other Gulf and regional markets.
Al-Khudari said the growth of Jordanian exports to Saudi Arabia highlights the opportunities available to the private sector, calling for intensified efforts to increase exports and diversify products targeting the Saudi market, particularly food industries, agricultural products and value-added goods.
He explained that the participation is part of the association’s strategy to use specialized international exhibitions as direct platforms for connecting Jordanian companies with importers, distributors, retail chains and businesses operating in the food sector. This, he said, can help turn promotional opportunities into actual deals and commercial partnerships.
He added that the participation gives Jordanian companies an opportunity to engage directly with Saudi importers, distributors and buyers, gain a closer understanding of their needs and consumption trends, and identify market opportunities. Such engagement provides a practical means of entering new markets, reaching new buyers and building business relationships that could develop into contracts and sustainable export opportunities.
Al-Khudari said Jordan’s food industry has significant growth potential in the Saudi market due to the diversity and competitiveness of its products. He urged participating companies to use the exhibitions to strengthen their brands and develop long-term relationships with Saudi importers and companies.
He noted that Jordanian products already have a strong presence in the Saudi market across several sectors, including food industries, agricultural products, dates, sweets, bakery products and dairy, providing a solid foundation for continued growth and increased exports.
For his part, Halem Abu Rahma, Director General of the Jordan Exporters Association, said the three-day exhibitions represent important events and a genuine opportunity for Jordanian companies to build international partnerships that could contribute to positioning the Kingdom as a regional food security hub.
He said the association is seeking to make increasing exports to Saudi Arabia a central focus of its efforts to support the national economy, stimulate industrial and agricultural production, and strengthen the ability of Jordanian companies to compete in regional and international markets.
Abu Rahma added that the next phase requires building strategic, long-term export partnerships by intensifying bilateral meetings between businesses and companies in both countries, expanding the base of importers and distributors, and continuing to develop national products in line with market requirements and consumer needs.
He stressed that the Saudi market remains a top priority in the association’s plans and programs to promote Jordanian exports, given its economic importance, geographic proximity and the promising opportunities it offers Jordanian companies to expand and increase their business, contributing positively to national economic growth.
