Several Jordan
Ahli Bank
employees took part in a volunteer day at the Royal Botanic Garden in Tal Al Rumman,
organized in cooperation with the Wings of Hope Society. The activity comes as
part of the bank’s commitment to supporting environmental and community
initiatives that help protect biodiversity and raise awareness of
sustainability.
The visit included an
orientation tour of the Royal Botanic Garden, during which employees learned
about its national role in conserving Jordan’s native plant species. The tour
highlighted the garden’s efforts to document plant species and their natural habitats,
protect rare and endangered species, and propagate them through its dedicated
seed bank. These efforts support the restoration of damaged natural habitats
and help preserve the Kingdom’s plant heritage.
The tour concluded with
bank employees participating in an environmental cleanup campaign in the area
adjacent to King Talal Dam, reinforcing the importance of hands-on volunteer
work in protecting and preserving natural sites.
As part of this
initiative, Jordan Ahli Bank provided support to the Royal Botanic
Garden through the Wings of Hope Society, with which the bank has maintained an
active partnership for several years in support of environmental initiatives
and projects. The support contributed to the provision of solar-powered
lighting systems, helping develop the garden’s facilities and enhance its
readiness to welcome visitors, researchers, and students in line with
sustainability principles.
This
activity forms part of Jordan Ahli Bank’s approach to fostering a
culture of social responsibility among its employees and supporting initiatives
with tangible impact in the fields of environmental protection and sustainable
development. It also aligns with national efforts to protect natural resources
and promote environmental awareness across the Kingdom, as well as with the
United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
