THE GOLDEN GALLOP
How Pomellato’s Chains Echo the Spirit of the Dappled Horse
When founder Pino Rabolini sought his path in jewelry in 1967, his father’s advice to “pick a winning horse” proved more prophetic than imagined. Inspired by his passion for horses and their inherent elegance, Rabolini chose to name his company “pomellato”—a word describing a rare, dappled horse’s coat that would define his destiny.
This word encapsulated more than equestrian beauty
Rabolini recognized movement captured in pattern—sunlight dancing across a horse in motion, creating ever-shifting mosaics of light and shadow. This vision of fluid beauty became both philosophy and foundation, inspiring Pomellato’s most iconic creation: the gold chain. Such unconventional thinking would guide every Pomellato creation.
